How Much to Practise?

16 Jan 2010
Most of us lead busy lives. If you're a student, there are exams and assignments. As an adult, it's even tougher - work commitments, raising children, etc read more...

Over the past 15 years as an improvisation teacher, I jotted down my ideas, tips and techniques and learnt how to teach these principles in a simple and effective way.

This 64 page manual and CD is filled with examples and detailed explanations to take your improvisation to the next level. We cover:

  • chord modifications
  • progressions
  • runs and soloing
  • RH rhythms
  • LH patterns and much more!

The book is written in straightforward language, much like how I conduct my lessons with my students. The main focus is not just to present information, but to present it in a simple way that makes it easy to read and understand even if you're not sitting at the piano. I'd like to show you that improv isn't a vague subject. Sure, there's a large element of playing by ear and feeling, but there are also numerous practical guidelines that can be easily learnt with practice.

If you feel your playing is stuck at a certain level, and you're running out of fresh ideas, then this book will help.

To order the manual, simply click the Order Now button above. I've recently moved the Quaverbox site to another server and it caused a few quirks so the button may have taken you to the main Paypal login page. It's fixed now so feel free to order 100 copies!
